Using EFT Tapping to Let Go of Toxic Relationships

What is EFT? Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), also known as “tapping,” is a simple way to immediately relieve feelings of anxiety and even emotional and physical pain. Similar to acupressure, tapping creates a balance in your energy system.

Use the following script and make it your own to make your tapping more effective.

Even though I keep attracting toxic relationships, I deeply and completely love and accept myself

Even though I have toxic relationships in my life, I deeply and completely love and accept myself

Even though I am struggling to let go of toxic relationships, I deeply and completely love and accept myself

 

Round 1

I’m sick of the constant criticism (eyebrow)

I’m angry but I’m pushing it down (side eye)

I’m sick of the lying, cheating, and shady behavior (under eye)

I’m sick of getting ghosted and still coming back (under nose)

I’m sick of accepting less than I’m worth (chin)

I’m angry and I don’t know what to do (collar)

Sometimes I feel like my heart will always be broken (side arm)

Sometimes I think this is all I’m worth (wrists)

This shitty, toxic relationship is all I know, and I’m scared to let it go (top of head)

 

Round 2

Expand on the previous statements using what comes up for you! What do you believe? What do you struggle with? When did you decide you had to be in a relationship or friendship that wasn’t working for you?

 

Round 3

I am worthy of a loving, supportive relationship (eyebrow)

I am worthy of love and respect exactly as I am (side eye)

I am incredibly strong and now I get to enjoy and receive goodness into my life (under eye)

I’ve been through a lot and I’m proud of myself (under nose)

I respect and love myself completely and lavishly (chin)

I am worthy of someone who is true to their word (collar)

I am ready to attract a loving, incredible relationship (side arm)

I am worthy of being treated with the utmost love and respect (wrists)

I am brave enough and safe enough to let go of what’s not serving me now. (top of head)
